All things old are new again

A little over a year has passed since the three voices of Blue Moon Prairie went silent. A lot has happened since then. I kept writing, and had the pleasure of playing with other musicians. Songs that I had played a hundred times took on new directions and nuances. Influences from other artists impacted musical tones and tempos. In
the meanwhile, Caroline Jenney was also exploring her voice in solitude, composing her solo CD, "Time," which she also produced and engineered in her home studio. Her instrumentals are the soundtrack for her videos which explore the moods and colors of New Mexico. November is one such video/music combination, filmed at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, San Antonio, NM.

This past Saturday, Caroline and I had a Reunion at the Black Mesa Winery, Taos Tasting Room in Taos, New Mexico. Like previous shows, it was an evening of stories and songs. However it reflected a year of contemplation in that the stories were separate and the musical intersection was that of support, rather than collaboration.

The one thing that did not change was our ability to mesh two very different voices into an evening of harmony. So harmonies, we will be repeating our performance on October 9th and November 20th.

If you did not have a chance to catch us last weekend, you will have two more opportunities.
